Sister Shaleece Hogan
I am so proud of my sister-in-law, Shaleece Hogan! She has been called to serve as a missionary in the Mesa, Arizona mission. She had her farewell talk today in Church and she did amazing! We are so excited for her! She will be a wonderful missionary! We love you Shaleece! (But we will miss you!)
I Love Christmas!
I'm so excited for Christmas this year because it is Jaxon's first Christmas. He is getting so big and we are having so much fun with him! He is the center of attention at all of our holiday get-togethers (and I get to dress him up in cute little Santa outfits!)
My favorite is a onesie that says "All Mommy wants for Christmas is a silent night". Too true!
My Blessing Day
I got blessed on November 23rd by Daddy. I also had both my Grandpas, Great-Grandpa Hogan, Uncle Todd, Uncle Craig, Uncle Adam, and Travis Allred in the circle. It was great! I am going to grow up to be big and smart and I am going to get baptized and go on a mission. But my Mommy made me wear a little white tux with tails and a bowtie and even a cumberbund! My Mom thought I looked cute and she was proud of me because I didn't even spit up on it.
We had everyone over after church for a lunch. It was so much fun! But then my Aunt Rossi tried to take pictures of me. I am a little camera-shy.
But I finally got to take a nap and then life was good again.
Thanks to everyone for coming and helping out. We love all of you!

Our Very Own ROCK STAR!
Our Little Chili Pepper
Though me and Shane are not very in to Halloween, we had to be this year since we now have a kid. So we dressed Jaxon up -- as a chili pepper! He was so cute but he only lasted in the outfit for about 15 minutes.
Like father, like son!

Vegas, baby!
We just got back from a trip to Vegas. It was way fun and Jaxon was such an angel (especially on the long, 10 hour drive)! When we got to Vegas, we stayed with the whole Hogan family in an apartment. Shane's brother Trent and his wife Cherie just bought a house in Vegas so we were almost all together (Craig is still in Korea). It was a great to spend time with them. We went down to the Strip, went hottubbing, had a BBQ, and celebrated Shaleece's 21st birthday at the Cheesecake Factory (my favorite restaurant ever!).
We also got to visit with my sister Leisel, her husband Brandon, and my 3 adorable nieces, Kira, Kamber, and Kendi. This is the first time all of the May grandkids have been together.
(Poor Jax is a little outnumbered!)
It was so fun to get Kendi and Jaxon together. They are only 6 weeks apart. Kendi is older but Jaxon far outweighs her! She is so dainty and petite and Jaxon is a little bit of a chunk. They were so cute together!
Happy Day for Mommy!
Happy 6 Week Birthday, Jax!
Jaxon is growing up so fast! He is such a chunk now! We think he weighs close to 10 pounds and he is only 6 weeks old! Anyway, his hair is falling out now too. He has a receding hairline and little patches all over his head. But he is getting to be more fun because he can look at us and he is starting to like some of his toys. And if Shane has anything to do with it, he will be walking by his 2 month birthday!
Labor and Delivery
This is for you Tara. And for those of you who don't want to know the gory details, skip this post!
My labor started on Saturday, August 23. I was having random contractions most of the day. We went to the Hogan family reunion that evening. I tried to hurry the process along by taking lots of walks and playing volleyball. We got home at around 10:00 PM that night and the contractions became more regular. I called the hospital to find out if I should come in but the nurses told me to wait until my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart. So, we stayed up most of the night and the contractions were about 10 minutes apart. This kept up til 2:00 PM the next day. I finally decided to just go in to the hospital to get checked (even though the contractions were still 10 minutes apart). And good thing too! When I got to the hospital I was already dilated to a 7 and my water broke minutes after I got there. So much for listening to the nurses! Anyway, things went pretty well for the next couple hours. The nurse thought I was crazy because I was still smiling during my labor. I chose not to have an epidural but it was very easy until about 7:00 PM when I started to push. I pushed for 2 and 1/2 hours and it was horrible! I think Shane almost had a heart attack! Jaxon arrived at 9:18 PM. I had to have an episiotomy and I had a 3rd degree tear as well so I took quite a while to recover but Jaxon was perfect!
Anyway, I think the labor was much easier than taking care of him now!

Tagged!?!
I'm finally getting around to answering Cherie's "tagged" post (sorry it took so long! Everything takes a long time with a 3 week old baby!)
How long have you been together? 4 years
How long did you date? Almost exactly a year from our first date until the day we got married (excluding the month we were broken up)
How old is he? 27
How old is she? 26
Who eats more? Jaxon!! (haha)
Who said "I love you" first? Funny story. Shane said it first but I didn't say it back right away (even though I felt it too) because I had to make him pay for breaking up with me!
Who is taller? Shane, by far. He is 6'3" and I am 5'6"
Who sings better? Neither of us! But that doesn't stop Shane from singing in the shower!
Who is smarter? Equal. Though Shane is in graduate school and I did lose many brain cells to Jaxon when I was pregnant!
Who does the laundry? Me.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Kaysley! oh yeah and Shane
Who pays the bills? Shane does now (though he likes to say he married me because I was his sugar mama!)
Who cooks dinner? I'm trying to since I'm a stay-at-home mom now but Shane is definitely the better cook.
Who is more stubborn? hmmm...probably me.
Who kissed who first? Shane kissed me (and on our first date! What a stud!)
Who asked who out? We were actually sort of set up on a blind date. Shane knew my sister, Lacey so he came up to Jackson to visit and they set him up on a date with someone else. Well, she bailed out on going on a river rafting trip so I volunteered to go. And it turned out pretty well.
Who proposed? Shane.
Who has more friends? Neither. We don't have any!
Who has more siblings? Shane has 5. I have 2.
Who wears the pants in the relationship? Jaxon!
